This piece is covered in Pyromorphite "Needles" and exhibits a rich green color. The piece is 5.2-cm (2.0-inch) in length. The specimen is from Daoping, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Pyromorphite is a lead chlorine phosphate mineral. It is part of a series with Mimetite and Vanadinite. Hardness is 3.5-4 on the Mohs scale. Pyromorphite is a secondary mineral found in the oxidized zones of lead ore deposits .
