The item listed here is hand crafted by me in my Yorkshire workshop. I do not use artificial, dyed or altered materials in my craft jewellery; what you see is what nature created. ……my customer feedback is proof of the quality of my craft work , & is further backed by my membership of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. ~AJC ~ For Sale ~ AJC ~ Five Special Fossil Ammonite Sections ( ~AJC ~ #: A 1 to A5 ) ~AJC~ Item Description ~ AJC ~ .......This is a group of 5 AA++ quality polished ammonite sections. They were put aside to sell individually (from £6.50 + upward eachh) but I am now selling them in five groups of 5 selected specimens. Each specimen is highly polished across the cut section & then I spent time cleaning the outer shell of all rock debris & mineral stains to give a smooth clean outer & also developed the outer centre of each ammonite. As a result several of the specimens have stunning iridescence to their shells. Each specimen has well defined chamber walls (mostly crisp white) & some will have chambers lined with tiny calcite crystals that sparkle as the specimen is turned in the light (drusy). The resulting ammonites are excellent viewed from front or back(see descriptions below)... ... (These outstanding sections are ready to be used as jewellery, object d'art or collectors fine specimens etc..) INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTIONS: A1 :40 mm X 34 mm X 9 mm (at the thickest point) 40+ chambers with translucent chocolate & dark brown infills (some white); white chamber walls. There are three crystal-lined chambers. The outer shell is smooth with pink & green iridescence & some suture patterning. In the centre of the outer shell I have left some of the original mudstone as it contains a tiny fossil ammonite! A2 : 36 mm X 31 mm X 8 mm (max.) 30 + chambers with a variety of translucent brown infills; white chamber walls. The outer shell is smooth with excellent green & pink iridescence! A3 : 40 mm X 35 mm X 5 mm (at the thickest point) two crystal lined chambers. Infills of translucent ochre-brown & white with white chamber walls. The outer shell has smooth shallow ribs & some iridescence. A4 : 38 mm X 28 mm X 5 mm (max.) three crystal lined chambers with excellent crystals. Dark chocolate infills (translucent), white chamber walls. Outer shell with shallow ribs & some iridescence. A5 : 37 mm X 29 mm X 5 mm (max.) five crystal lined chambers, translucent browns, some olive green & white chamber walls. Outer shell has a superb pearly shell with vivid green/blue/pink iridescence! ~AJC ~ PRICE ~ AJC ~ The SALE STARTING PRICE for this item.... is JUST: £10.00 (£2.00 per specimen!) ~AJC ~ Presentation, Packing & Shipping ~ AJC ~ Ensuring that your purchase arrives safely & well-presented is an important part of my "customer service". Each specimen will be cushioned in kapok & then placed in a self-seal plastic bag. The completed “package” of five specimens will be sent out in a Mail Lite padded envelope. UK items are sent via 2nd Class Recorded Delivery; this ensures that both you & I can check on a parcels journey. IF YOU NEED FASTER DELIVERY PLEASE ASK . A printed Postal record is kept of all item. However, parcels sent abroad are shipped via Standard Airmail; once such an item leaves UK airspace it can no longer be tracked . If you want tracking for overseas parcels, “International Signed For” shipping costs a little more. Whilst “lost” parcels are almost unheard of….. I cannot be held responsible for any item that “goes missing” outside the UK.
