Folks, we are offering here AT NO RESERVE a very well cut carafe, most probably, is the carafe for a tumble-up and at one time had a tumbler that fit over the tip. It is 7 3/8" tall by 4 1/2" Dia. This is NOT a decanter with the stopper missing. The inside of the top of the neck has never been ground to fit or hold a stopper. The primary motif is three large 16-point hobstars separated by a fan and a chain of clear six-sided buttons in a diamond shaped field. The hobstars have a severe miter extension through points of the primary hobstar. (See book Chain of Evidence, pages 54 and 87 for pictures of this motif and it states, "This unusual manner of extending a miter through the hobstar points appears to be unique to Mr. Wm. C. Anderson's design style." The condition of the carafe is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, cloudiness or imperfections. This superior quality blank weighs 2 1/4 pounds. Please know that we always double-box and the $16.00 shipping charge will include full insurance. We are pleased to accept PayPal. OF ADDITIONAL INTEREST Folks. As with all of our ABP cut glass this piece has survived for 100 years and should have some slight signs of use. Evidence of use and TLC are not imperfections, chips are. This is, after all, an antique. * If you are going to invest in cut glass then bid on pieces put on eBay by read more
