is a small uniform grouping to a known member of the United States Special Forces. The set consists of a first model jungle jacket and trousers to a veteran whos items reside in a few collections around the world.Further uniform items are currently offered from this veteran by Jason Hardy, from whom i bought this set in 2005.The jacket and trousers have slight fading from wear, but have no rips or tears to the material.This particular individual, started his military career in 1954 initially joining the Navy and serving 10 years in that branch of service. In June 1964 he enlisted in the Army and graduated Special forces training at the age of 33.He went on to serve a total of 44 months in Vietnam, with his first tour starting in February 1967 with A company, 5th special forces group, B-34, Song Bay.He maintained this posting until wounds to his legs caused him to return to the US in 1970 to take up an instructor position at the JFK special warfare school at Fort Bragg, NC.He returned to Vietnam later in 1970 assigned to MAC V SOG as an instructor at camp Long Thanh ( 1-0 school ). During his second tour with SOG he took a position in the inner compound working with the "Earth Angels" programme (OPS-34) which was the use of turned Chu Hoi (ex-NVA).
