SPECTACULAR AMERICAN FOLK ART PIE SAFE Late 19th/Early 20th CenturyPainted blue. Polychrome pierced tin panels inset at sides and front doors. Fan-form decoration at corners of tin panels. Side and several door panels with sheaves of wheat decoration. Cornucopia design at center of door panels. Shelved interior. Tapered legs. Height 59.5. Width 52.5". Depth 23". Purchased by the consignor in Alabama.Provenance: The Morgan Rank Collection of Folk Art and Musical Instruments.ConditionGenerally good condition. Slight rusting to tin.
