A superb pair of rare vintage Spendor LS3/5A. Sounding fabulously accurate, open and natural, which they were famous for. Produced during the heyday of the high fidelity era. The British manufacturer Spendor produce best quality and use finest components. The converting is absolute perfect!! Quality has been Spendors prime consideration throughout the companys many many years of manufacturing audio equipment. Designed to BBC broadcast specification for studio monitoring purposes. The LS3/5A reached legendary status. When you listen to them, you understand why. The sound is unbelievable! The 3/5 is the perfect sound field reproduction system. The sound that is still amazing after all these years and loved by many hifi reviewers.These are simple one of the best Monitor speakers! The speakers are in very very fine condition - NEAR MINT. You can find only very little traces of use like small scratches and some very small dents in the wood veneer. The chassis rubber is not brittle or cured - absolutly like new!! This 3/5 have been very well cared for over the decades, perfect!! Please regard the many pictures. I have taken a lot of pictures as close up as is practical to show that this is a very nice pair. The speakers are near pristine. In the real world you will not be looking this close, but I want you to know what you are bidding on!! The Spendor LS3/5a is a widely known speaker for it countervailing attraction is its midband. It has one of the least colored midbands around. It presents the correct musical and tonal balance of the different instruments. The speakers cast a wide, deep, and stable soundstage. The human voice is rendered unadorned to be appreciated.
