THE ITEM's DESCRIPTION: *RARE* PAIR of SPINSTER SISTERS Antique VICTORIAN Silver Coin LOVE TOKEN BRACELETS - Late 19th Century - circa 1890'sThere is a bit of a story that accompanies these wonderful antique LOVE TOKEN bracelets. These bracelets were acquired in the 1980's, so I have had them for a very long time. They came from a local estate and I literally had to promised that I would never separate the bracelets and always keep them together. If I was ever to re-sell them, I vowed that I would sell them as a pair. I committed to ask the same of the new owner that was asked of me, that the LOVE TOKEN bracelets remain together. The bracelets were originally owned by a pair of spinster sisters who lived in pioneer country near Orillia, Ontario. They were born twins and virtually did everything together all of their lives. It was incredible the number of pairs of identical items that were being sold at this estate sale that belonged to the sisters. It was obvious that they were extremely close and had an exceptionally strong bond between them. I will honor their spirits and keep my promise by offering these incredible antique Victorian era extensively engraved named LOVEN TOKEN bracelets together. Each Love Token bracelet is fitted a properly functioning and secure separate engraved box style link clasp. The bracelets each contain eight(8) skillfully & extensively engraved LOVE TOKEN coins. The eight(8) LOVE TOKENS in each bracelet are all Canadian Victorian Era 10 cent sterling silver dime coins that each measure approximately 3/4"(18mm) in diameter. The LOVE TOKEN bracelets measure approximately 7 1/4" to 7 1/2" in total length. Most of the LOVE TOKENS in these bracelets are beautifully and intricately engraved with the names of important people in the lives of the spinster sisters.The first bracelet has the following engraved LOVE TOKEN coin links: EDITH, GI, JENNIE, LIZZIE, AJE, BI, SAM & GEORGEThe second bracelet has the following engraved LOVE TOKEN coin links: GEORGE, MINA, SISTER, DICK, SAM, CRAWFORD, FATHER, & MOTHEREXCELLENT overall antique condition with no damage, restorations or repairs. Each bracelet is fitted with a fine sterling silver link safety chain. The bracelets are extremely comfortable on and wear very well. The quality of the LOVE TOKEN engraving is SUPERB!
