This is the second Christmas plate released by Spode - a limited production for 1971. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, and no crazing or wear to the design. Ivory bone china, with applied gold. Back reads: "Ding dong merrily on high,In heav'n the bells are ringing:Ding dong! verily the sky Is riv'n with angel singing. Gloria, Hosanna in excelsis! " Diameter is 8". I have an almost complete collection of these plates up for auction, listed separately. Good way to add or replace plates for your collection!
