You are buying 4 x 1 oz silver commemorative coin set depcting Spongebob Squarepantson legal $2 tender from the island nation of Niue Coins in capsules+with Certificate of Authenticity+BOX According to APMEX, this coin set originally had a very high mintage, which was reduced dramatically when the consigner of the set filed for bankruptcy. Months later, the unsold sets were seized. No one knows out of the new mintage, exactly how many of these sets were actually made or how many were seized and taken off the market, but it has been estimated at about 4,880. These SpongeBob SquarePants coins feature four of the key characters from the TV show. The entire SpongeBob Coin Set is housed in a collectible and distinctive treasure chest. This limited set was put out by the New Zealand Mint and PFG Precious Metals. Reverse Design The set includes 4 legal tender .999 silver bullion coins depicting the characters of SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends Patrick, Sandy and Gary. Obverse Design The obverse of the coin features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II sovereign of the commonwealth of Niue . Limited Mintage Each coin in the SpongeBob SquarePants set is struck from 1oz of pure silver. No more than 100,000 coins for each design will be issued by the New Zealand Mint.
