Spongeware Spaniel Doorstop, Midwestern origin, probably Ohio, late 19th century, molded in the form of a seated spaniel on platform base, the surface decorated with heavy cobalt sponging over a whitish ground. Excellent color. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two faint lines on top of base. H 8 3/4".
