South Spring Hill Gold Mining Co. stock certificate, CA 1896 (Consolidated) Dated May 28 th , 1896 – Portland , ME Certificate No. 483 made out to George Weymouth in the amount of 881 shares at $5.00 each Location of mines Amador Co., California Samuel Hobbs & Co., Lithographers, Boston Certificate is in very good condition with minor wear commensurate with age (creasing, minor discoloration). Some pin-prick sized holes along one crease line (slightly more visible from back of certificate.) Decorative border, vignette of miners, and company blind stamp dated 1890 Back of certificate is unused. Minor ink smudges visible. Certificate has watermark from Crane & Co., Dalton , Mass. Stock certificate measures 12 1/8” x 7 5/8”
