Springfield Krag-Jorgensen 1897 Bayonet and Steel Scabbard. The blade is slightly less than 12" long. The wood grip panels are very tight. No cracks or chips but plenty of dents and dings. The locking mechanism works fine. The blade is straight. There are dents in the scabbard and has surface rust pitting. What I find the most interesting is the markings R K O P and S230. They don't look like factory markings. I can only assume they are Regimental identification of some kind. If any one can shed light on what these markings are, I will pass the info on to the new owner.
