SS Republic Shipwreck Effect 1861 O ( New Orleans Mint ) Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Comes with Wood display case, Certificate of Authenticity & DVD. ONLY selling to USA bidders. No international shipping, sorry. Everything is in Excellent condition. This coin was lying beneath the Atlantic Ocean for 138 years. The SS Republic sank during a violent hurricane on October 25, 1865 off the coast of Georgia. It was found by the Odyssey Marine Exploration and later encased in a tamper resistant holder with a unique bar code label by the NGC The coin comes with a DVD showing the recovery of the coins.
