This lovely early cream pitcher, measuring 5” tall by 3” wide by almost 5 ¾” long, would perhaps benefit from being professionally cleaned, but that’s up to its new owner. It is decorated in how it was formed: its spout is scalloped slightly, but the rest of its rim’s scallops form the curved tops of many vertical panels which extend about 5/8” down, each filled with a stylized branched tree; the elegant handle scoops upwards ending in a small scroll & then arches downwards to the creamer with a ¾” wide section filled with vertical bars about 1/3 of the way up; all the way around the body of the creamer just below the row of vertical panels a “shelf” extends out about 3/8” & then ½” in to the body of the creamer; the rest of the pot curves down to a ¼” base. One small blue transfer of a single flower is placed on the inside of the spout, while all the way around the outside of the spout is an intricate blue transfer of flowers & scrolls against a beaded background. The main part of the transfer stretches all the way around the handle to its opposite side. On the same beaded background of the spout are seen a vase, a potted plant, a small initialed box, 2 shells, & a dark beaded necklace on a ruffled dresser scarf. The background has dark leaves, & a few flowers similar to one in the vase. This transfer is shown completely on one read more
