Staffordshire Enoch Wood and Sons "Woods Ivory Ware" Small Platter Search This is a very nice small oval platter by Enoch Wade and Sons, Tunstall (1965-1995 under this name. It is glazed in a white with a polychrome transfer. This is a small platter measuring about 11-3/4 by 9-3/4 inches. This design and this mark indicate that this piece is most likely from the 1930's or 40's, but I am not sure of this. This piece is in very good used condition with no damage at all and only the moderate usage wear as expected for a piece of this age. I have tried to show the worst of this utensil wear on the central design in close-up. It will still display very well. This very nice example of mid 20th century Staffordshire earthenware is offered with a very reasonable opening bid which recognizes its limitations.
