Cover with family letter from Robert Baxter, 3 Park Street, Westminster, London, England 8 June 1849 to his brother Dudley Baxter, Frampton, Quebec, Canada. "Broadway Westminster" 2 line handstamp & superb "Too Late GPO" as intended for Cunard's "America" to Halifax 9 June but carried on "Hibernia" 16 June. Liverpool transit & Quebec/LC double arc backstamp.
