This is one Stanley #40 scrub plane. This is one very old plane and in good condition. Probally made around 1910-1915 going by the stamp on the blade. The blade is stamped Stanley New Britian USA in a v shape. The handle and knobs are not cracked Most of the finish on the handle and knob are gone. Has the normal scratches and dings from almost a 100 years of use. The black finish is @75%. On the inside of the plane most of the finish is t On the sides it is @ 1/2 gone. The blade measures 5 1/2" long. T is a B stamp on the back side of the blade cap. This would make a great user plane. I sell all my items as is as found. I do not clean my items and a I leave that up to the buyer. I sell as is as found. If you would like more pictures or more information please email me.
