This is a Stanley #66 Beading Plane believed to be a Type 1 in nice condition. Bed: The handles are embossed in a curve "Stanley 66" and "PAT FEB 8. 1886". The japanning is at about 50%, brass hardware including the pedestal screw for the fence, no chips or cracks, the sole shows one clean heavier pit spot on the edge above the flat with a few light clean smooth pit spots. Fence: It comes with one straight fence, no chips or cracks, with a few light clean smooth pit spots. Blade: It comes with one blade which we believe to be original to the type. Nice color, some swirl stains, with a few light clean smooth pit spots. Brass: Excellent. This plane has been carefully cleaned while maintaining the patina and described as we want you to see what you are bidding on without surprises.
