A beautiful Stanley/Bailey 4 corrugated plane, with finish baked on (see pics of base for detail). The base is rust free with some very light areas of pitting, hardly noticeable and smooth to the touch (see pics of bottom for detail). This plane has most of the characteristics of a Type 9, 1902-07. The rosewood knob has been refinished. The Cocobolo rosewood tote has been refinished, has beautiful color and grain (see pictures for detail). The Stanley logo blade has been honed sharp. The iron cap has its bottom edge honed flat to fit the blade perfectly. The frog has the large brass depth adjusting wheel. The plain Stanley key hole lever cap is smooth to the touch, and has the bottom edge honed flat to fit perfectly with the iron cap. Overall, this plane is ready for you final tuning.
