Look at this beauty.And it is up for your bid.A real show plane.Stanley (Bailey) No.4 Smoothing Plane.Made in Sheffield,England.2" cutter.Sole 9" long.Has the original box,Stanley Tag.Also purchase receipt from Joseph Gleave & Son 2A Piccadilly Manchester 1.And the Stanley hints for using a Stanley plane.Body is marked Bailey behind the front knob.No.4 in front.Made in England below the adj.wheel.Has the Fine Frog Adj.Cutter is marked Stanley Made in England.2 very small spots of metal staining on top end of cutter.See picture.The Stanley on Lever Cap is more Orange then the yellow that shows.The wood fore & aft is about perfect.And no reserve.Check out our other planes.
