A beautiful Stanley/Bailey 5 plane with finish baked on. The base is rust and pit free. The base has been flattened using diamond board and different grits of sandpaper on plate glass. The frog has the small pre-war brass depth adjusting wheel in great condition. The rosewood tote is very nice with great color and grain. The rosewood knob has been refinished, as well. The Stanley "Sweetheart" blade has been sharpened scary sharp using diamond and japanese wet stones at 30 degrees. Overall, this is a shop ready plane that is tuned and ready to go.
