Some original Jappaning remains; some missing, see pictures and judge for yourself. There is some sole wear and rust, nothing serious. All screws/threads are free and not stuck. No cracks in the metal, blade lever cap, spring, and screw work well. Lateral lever says Stanley sideways w/no pat ID that I can make out. Toe of plane says Bailey Stanley Rule & Level Co No. 24Cap iron has original blueing on back, and has a nice sharp un-nicked edge.Iron says Stanley Pat. Ap'l 19 92 ; Iron has quite a lot of length left.Lever cap has nice sharp unmolested front edge and good spring.Sole and wood body have wear and imperfections but overall pretty niceLength is 8"Width is 2 9/16" or just under.All wood screw threads are good and not stripped.I don't know much about transitional planes, but this has to be an old one from the markings, and is the closest you can get to a No. 21 or No. 2 in "shortness".I will combine shipping where practical, please see my other drills and planes up for sale.I will pack this carefully for you.
