Up for bid is a Stanley Russell Jennings No. BX-32-1/2 Auger Bit Set in Excellent Plus Condition. There are 13 bits , only the 15/16" size was ever used (lightly), the other 12 are un-used, some still in the Stanley waxed paper wrapping. The box label reads Made in Sheffield England, but all 13 of the bits are stamped on the shank RUSSELL JENNINGS STANLEY No. 100 RJ MADE IN AUSTRALIA. I tried to find out when Stanley started making these in Australia, but had no luck. The 5 smallest sizes, and the 1" size are still in the original wax paper. The inside box label also reads STANLEY TOOLS DIV. OF THE STANLEY WORKS, NEW BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT. The 3-tiered, finger jointed box, is in excellent condition, just a few minor scuffs along the front bottom edge, and a couple small dents between 2nd & 3rd tier (near the latch). This a hard to find complete set with the same label, all 13 sizes are there from 1/4" to 1" by 16ths. Rust free, no owner's marks, and I would like to believe that Stanley held rigid, high quality standards on their tools, even when made elsewhere.
