This 9 inch long no 4 smooth plane looks to be a stanley type 12. It is in great shape with a light patina and most of the black jappanning intact. The rosewood has fantastic grain, it looks as good as it works! A classic that will work great for the collector or the user! This tool comes from the collection of Pete Hartmann, a Mid-West Tool Collectors Assoc. member for decades now.
