I have revised this listing, adding STANYON'S MAGIC to his LESSONS. I've been listing books of magic that were part of a collection and, not being an expert in the subject myself, I didn't realize I had both books until last night. I would think collectors would want both. I've checked some other used book sites and together, these books can go for more than $160.00. You are bidding on two books that were published to coincide. The first is STANYON'S MAGIC, a huge and heavy book that reprints of all 177 issues of this journal, originally published 1900 to 1914 and 1919 to 1920. Edited by Ellis Stanyon. L & L Publishing 1996, 1st edition. Hardback, bound in red cloth with dustjacket. As you can tell from the photo, t is a rip in the dj on the upper left front corner. T is also a small rip in the dj back top. The book itself is as close to perfect as you can get - very clean, no markings.The second book is the hardcover, limited first edition of STANYON'S SERIAL LESSONS IN CONJURING: (IN 21 PARTS, 1899-1910 ). Written and illustrated by Ellis Stanyon. Two-tone cloth in cloth slipcase. Reproduces in one hardcover volume all of the booklets on specialized magic topics that Ellis Stanyon wrote and issued at the beginning of the 20th century.
