About this item: The seller purchased this item at a celebrity auction in Ferndale, California in 1997. The item was donated to the auction (a fundraiser for the Ferndale Repertory Theatre) by actor Rene Auberjonois (who played Constable Odo on Deep Space Nine), who had acquired it - and numerous other Star Trek props, prosthetics and costume pieces - specifically for that auction, as a favor to his friend and FRT Artistic Director Marilyn McCormick.Star Trek Visual Effects Producer Dan Curry - a graduate of nearby Humboldt State University - personally prepared the framing and mounting of this auction item as a courtesy to Mr. Auberjonois. It may be noted from the photos shown , that t is some damage to the miniature itself. This is how the piece arrived to the 1997 auction. Regardless of the damage, the item fetched a very high bid in the silent auction. The item is offered at this eBay auction "as is" with full disclosure of it condition, and exactly as offered/sold in the original 1997 auction, mounted on wooden frame as shown. Frame has easel back, and is approximately 9x12. Item itself is some sort of plastic, exquisitely detailed and painted on one side (side shown). Side attached to frame was never intended to be photographed for television, and is unfinished and rough. Model piece is approximately 4 inches tall by 2 inches
