we have a copy of a TV series script for the rejected first pilot for STAR TREK "The Cage" written by Gene Roddenberry This is the script for the first pilot filmed for a then revolutionary new science fiction TV series by creator Gene Roddenberry, STAR TREK. While it was a wonderfully crafted story, the executives at NBC felt that it was "too intelligent" for viewers and sent Roddenberry back to the drawing board to mostly recast the show and produce another pilot (which he did, "W No Man Has Gone Before", which did sell the network on doing the show). Interesting vision of Star Trek in its earliest stages of evolution.
