You are bidding on an assembled model of the starship Enterprise NCC 1701 refit from Star Trek (the ship from the first 3 Star Trek movies). The kit comes pre-painted, hence the level of detail, especially the complex aztek pattern, is excellent for a kit of this size (ship is approx 36cm in length). This started out as a Bandai kit, but has been modified in the following ways, which were not part of the original kit: 1. Lighting System - all the supplied bulbs have been replaced with bright LEDs - the nacelles now glow blue with bright blue LEDs, instead of the pale white from the supplied bulbs (you can see a comparison with the unmodified kit below, the model you are bidding on is in the background obviously). The deflector dish now glows with blue or amber (controlled via a switch on the base). 2. Custom Made Base - the ship now stands on a varnished mahogany base with a brass plate, and a brass pole supports the model, instead of the black plastic base that came with the kit. The base includes 2 fader controls to vary the brightness of the nacelles & the deflector dish, a switch to change the deflector dish colour, and a power on switch.
