Limited edition print of a photograph SIGNED by StayHigh 149, grandfather of NYC graffiti.This auction is for one print of a 1973 photograph showing a StayHigh 149 tag on a redbird NYC train, signed by StayHigh (Wayne Roberts) himself.I met up with Wayne in January 2008, and commissioned him to sign a limited edition set of photographs. There are 20 prints in this set, and no more will ever be made. Once these are gone, they are gone for good (and I've sold 9 so far, and counting). These prints are tagged by Wayne himself, and the second photograph in this listing shows Wayne putting his autograph on one of the prints in this series.Wayne Roberts passed away nearly two years ago, and the New York Times carried a lengthy obituary detailing the life and times of this important originator of subway style writing (to read it, simply google "Wayne Roberts obituary"). The prints were produced at a professional commercial photography lab, using high quality photo paper, and then signed by hand by StayHigh. Each print is slightly different due to Wayne's hand-style when he signed them. These prints are 8.5x11 inches in size, which makes for easy framing (I have a number of similar prints on my wall).
