This steel collar was made in the 20th century but resembles those used in the 1800s and earlier. It is made of solid (powder-coated?) non-stainless steel and comes with one allen wrench-type key that screws the collar tightly closed. The recessed locking mechanism makes it impossible for the prisoner to tamper with it manually. The collar has two small D-loops welded on each side, and a larger steel ring attached to the front.Detailed dimensons: collar width: 1-7/16" (37 mm) collar thickness: 3/32" (2.4 mm) internal size: 5-5/16" x 6-1/4" (135 mm x 159 mm). Fits maximum neck size 18" weight: approx. 1 lbs (0.45 kg) This is not a new item. It shows some signs of wear (minor scratches) but is otherwise in good condition and good working order.
