You are bidding on MINT CONDITION CPI Giant Saucer Tosser Frisbee disc from the early Seventies! I call this color "RARE" in the title because many more of the pastel colors (RED, BLUES, PINK, YELLOW, etc.) were manufactured . Over my years of collecting I determined that GRAY, BLACK and WHITE seemed to be the hardest CPI Giant colors to obtain. This gray beauty has never been thrown and has been carefully stored in my collection for more than 35 years. It measures a whopping 15 inches across by a full 2 inches high. You will note that this disc appears to have been produced from a different mold than earlier versions in that the center cupola is flat and does not contain the word "GIANT". This may have been a slightly newer run to allow for a label for advertising purposes. You will find this disc listed on Page #139 of the Complete Book of Frisbee with a suggested value of $75. The description reads: Largest Retail Disc . The Blue one depicted in Victor's book is dated 1972 and was manufactured by Continental Promotions, Inc. In the mid-seventies, CPI changed their name to Concept Products, Inc (same company ... same initials ... different corporate name!). Since this giant has the Concept Products imprint on the underside, it would most likely have been made around '74 - '75. I am starting the bidding for this gorgeous disc read more
