Steiff 1983 Nimrod Teddy Bear Set with Signed Certificate #1085 This is a Limited Edition Set of Steiff Teddy Bears that were reissued in 1983 to commemorate the 80th birthday of the Teddy Bear and the 125th birthday of Teddy Roosevelt. This set is called the Nimrod Set. It is a depiction of a bear hunt that Teddy Roosevelt went on in 1902. It is a reissue/reproduction of bears made in 1953. All bears are mohair with original numbered eartags (0210/22) and each bear is in excellent condition. My gradmother was an avid collector of Steiff and this was kept in a smoke-free home. My grandmother kept this bear set in the hard plastic shell, which is how it will be sent unless specified. Some of the original box remains inside the case.
