This Steiff mohair made in Germany Dromedary Set features a delightful 5/way jointed shepherd bear and a camel. The camel has a halter with a lead strap so the shepherd bear can have his paw through the loop and look like he is leading the camel! The shepherd bear has a great outfit including a headdress. The shepherd jointed bear measures 7" in height, 6" in width(including his extended arms), and 3 1/2" in depth. The camel measures 9 1/2" in height, 11 1/2" in width(front to back), and 3 1/2" in depth. Both figures have gold plated buttons with white Steiff tags with their limited edition # 1233/3000 worldwide, and the tag also states that they were made in Germany. The set comes with the Steiff certificate of authenticity and paperwork. This set is from 2002. The original Steiff box is in mint condition, and also included is the plain cardboard "cover box" that they arrived in. This cover box folds around the collector box to protect it. The cover box has a label(see pictures) with the item # and all the info on the Dromedary Set. I am a retired gift shop owner with leftover inventory. I was a certified Steiff retailer. This Dromedary Set is new. 7.75% sales tax applicable for Texas sales.
