These Steiff dolls came in a variety of sizes and this is 12" tall (to tips of ears) version. Stuffed felt doll w/oilcloth eyes and four mother-of-pearl pants buttons. 1930s. Original cardboard tag attached to chest and button in ear w/fabric Steiff tag. Both are Exc. Original string whiskers present, but as is typical, missing rubber tail. Underside of one foot has Steiff company markings and design patent number. Doll is a choice condition example w/clean, white face and deep rich color. As nice as any Steiff Mickey Mouse doll comes, nearly as fresh as the day it was produced. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
