This wonderful mohair polar bear is part of the "Museum Collection" which was inaugurated in 1984. This lovable polar bear is a detailed reproduction of a toy first produced by Steiff in 1909. It has four jointed legs and a ball-and-socket jointed neck. There were only 3000 made and he is number 799. This bear has his button and is in mint condition. His box is not. The top plastic is completely gone and the rest of the clear plastic is misshapen. This bear came from the estate of a collector so he has lived in a climate controlled non-smoking household.
