HANDMADE STEINBACH KING ARTHUR NUTCRACKER LIMITED EDITION FULL-SIZE NUTCRACKERFROM THE CAMELOT SERIES STEINBACH # S621 HAND-SIGNED ON BOTTOM BY CHRISTIAN STEINBACH NO RESERVE ! DETAILS: HAND-SIGNED ON THE BOTTOM BY HERR CHRISTIAN STEINBACH, COMPANY PRESIDENT. PIECE NUMBER 4642 OUT OF 10000. SECOND PIECE IN THE "CAMELOT" SERIES, RELEASED IN 1992. INCLUDES BOX. This is one of the older limited edition nutcrackers, released 15 years ago. King Arthur is the successor to "Merlin," the king of all Steinbach nutcrackers, in the Camelot series, and almost as sought-after. This piece has some rather minor paint blemishes, all related to flaking, as can happen with nutcrackers in this age range. The most noticeable flaking is on the golden-painted orbs at the end of his rope belt. It actually appears that this is the second coat that is flaking, as gold is still visible underneath as shown in the photo. T is milder flaking on some of the tips of the crown, as shown, again with the gold paint, which seems to be prone to this, as is the silver paint, which is cracking slightly on the base of the goblet. The bottom is stamped with the "Steinbach Original" emblem, along with the handwritten words "Blessings and Good Wishes" and "1992" followed by the signature of Herr Steinbach, "Maker".
