is a fine vintage enamel Sterling butterfly pin, an excellent piece, but it is damaged somewhat.. This is a large butterfly, about 2 inches at widest span, pink enamel, beautifully detailed.. All is in great shape, except for the enamel on one side,this is discolored, at one spot,and at another, the enamel is worn,and just Silver, plus the nice detaiing, shows... The areas may not be fully visible, they are significant, although the surface is still smooth, and the rest of it is very nice, including the remaining enamel, the structure, the findings.. T is a nice, large curled c-catch,extra long needle, this is marked S925,and signed, this I am not familiar with enough to say, but will describe the signature,it may be David Andersen.. The mark looks like two capsules, crossed, as in an equal sided Cross.. This could also look to be a D an an A, but I am only speculating, I cannot identify the mark, but it is a premium piece, if you can fix the enamel area,and it looks to be possible, the discoloration should be lightened,the worn area re-glazed...?
