These are 6 sterling spoons by NYC company Starr & Marcus. Herman Marcus learned the silver trade in Dresden before coming to NYC in 1850 w he worked for Tiffany. In 1864 Marcus entered into partnership with Theodore B. Starr under the name of Starr & Marcus. In 1876 they exhibited jewelry at the Centannial Exhibition in Philadelphia. In 1877 Marcus returned to Tiffany. On the front of each spoon is written "Sue." and on the back of the spoon is written "From Laura." T is also on the back of the handle "STARR & MARCUS STERLING" and "PATENT." I do not know the name of the pattern. Each spoon measures 6" long. It looks like one spoon has been polished. Two spoons have very small dings in the bowl. Otherwise the spoons appear to be in good condition. Acceptable forms of payment are PayPal, Cashier's Check or Money Order.
