WELCOME! I am listing an Antique Sterling Silver Thimble & Holder! The Lovely Antique Sterling Silver Thimble is Marked STERLING MKD on the inside apex. MKD is the Maker's Mark for Ketchum McDougal. Ornate design around the bottom. Marked 11 on the outside. No holes or cracks, somewhat out of round. Otherwise Good Condition. The Antique Mother of Pearl Shell Case is Unique & Beautiful! The case is made from a Mother of Pearl shell with Gilt brass trim & chain. Hinged back works well. Closes fine. Chain is approx. 4 1/4" long from top middle to shell. It measures approx. 2 3/4" x 2". It is about 1 1/2" deep. T are some natural imperfections common to M.O.P. shells. T is what may be a hairline crack on the outside. It does not go through to the inside. This does not take away from the beauty of this piece. (Please see photo) Good Condition. This Set is really Beautiful! It would make a great addition to your collection or as a gift for someone special.
