'S A REALLY OLD SET!! This is an auction for: ONE (1) Vanity Set This set consists of a HAIR BRUSH and a HAND MIRROR - both made in the ART NOUVEAU style with a GIRL with FLOWING HAIR (Gibson Girl or Sea Goddess?) and IRIS flowers around her. It is also inscribed "HELENA" - very light and hard to read, but present on BOTH pieces. I think this set was made by UNGER BROTHERS back in the early 1900s because of the detailed design - but it is simply marked " STERLING " - I can find no other mark. The brush has come loose from its handle because of a couple of cracks on the side - it has a WOOD backing and the brissles are wired to it! The mirror is NOT cracked, but it does have some discoloring and the handle and casing is bent in places around it. This is a VERY OLD set and it will look LOVELY with a little TLC! BID NOW!
