Sterling silver souvenir spoon of San Gabriel Mission, California. The spoon is in great condition with no dings, two very light dents to the underside of the bowl that can't be seen on the front, and is monogramed on the back of the bowl with "1905". The handle is deeply embossed front and back with great detailed views: the front has The State Seal, a miner with pick ax, a grape branch with three clusters, "CALIFORNIA" down the handle, and leaves; and the back has The American Eagle with a laurel branch and arrows in it's feet and The Stars & Strips Shield on it's chest, full length figure of Lady Justice holding a light and the balance, and lots of fancy scroll work. The bowl is embossed with "SAN GABRIEL MISSION 1771" and a beautiful detailed view of the Mission and grounds. The spoon is marked with Shepard's hallmark of an "S" inside a circle and "STERLING". The spoon is 5 1/2 inches long and weighs .75 ounces.
