Come back Fredrick Carter, Fredrick Carter please come back. This is a wonderful piece of glass made by Carter's Steuben Glass Works in Steuben County, Corning (next to the Painted Post), New York, USA, in the early part of the last century. This style of "fan" vase was made in 3 sizes with this size being the largest at 11 inches tall X 9 inches wide X 1 1/16 deep. The round foot measures at 5 5/16 inches in diameter. The "optic ribs" are spectacular. For collectors, I am not knowing the factory names listed for the colors. I do not mean to throw you off with color names for fear of misleading between shades. The pics tell the story here. I took the photos out of doors in natural light. They have not been altered color wise, only cropped for showing off the vase. -Fan Vase -Optic Ribbed -Green Foot, Green Knuckled Stem with a Yellow Fan (amber, golden, canary, chartreuse? etc.). Many techniques were used to vary the chemistry/colors. Some simple and some involving several steps. Aside: One I read about was to use a newly cut willow branch of a certain size, and dipping into the batch of molten glass and then quickly removing it. This gave shades of green. Then there are iron filings and,,,,, 11" tall x 9" wide X 1 1/16" deep from front to back Embellished with Steuben Mark, a Fleur De Lis printed name Steuben- see photos read more
