STEVE ABEE NC CATAWBA VALLEY POTTERY SOUTHERN FOLK ART HAND TURNED FACE JUG DRIPPY GREENISH BROWN ALKALINE GLAZE HANDMADE CLAY TEETH COBALT BLUE EYES DOUBLE STRAP HANDLES INCISED SINE MARKS AROUND TOP CUTE DIMPLED CHEEKS MEASURES 12" TALL FLAWLESS, PERFECT IN EVERY WAY signed on forehead and on bottom Steve Abee is a very talented young potter from Lenoir NC who makes pottery in the Catawba Valley Tradition. His pieces are hard to obtain and the only way he sells his pieces are at kilns sales held four times per year at his home. Steve's teeth are all hand molded and cut. Just take a look at these molars! He uses hand dug clay, homemade glazes and fires in a wood kiln. He is adamant about sticking to the old timey folk pottery ways. Just a nice piece of NC southern folk art pottery. Thanks for viewing!
