Stoll Giroflex 7044 Vintage Swiss Modernist industrial desk/work chair . Description This is an iconic work chair made by the Swiss company of Stoll, it is the Giroflex 7044 model; although they made Bauhaus influenced furniture from the thirties onwards this chair probably dates from the sixties and is one of the most versatile chairs of this type. It is in excellent condition (inevitably there is wear and tear commensurate with it's age and use but nothing that detracts from the overall look or can't be assessed from the pictures), the chair has a steel framework and centre pneumatic shaft from which it swivels and rises using the lever shown. The backrest is also adjustable in height and can be adjusted back and forth using the lever underneath. The seat height adjusts from 47cm to 59cm, the seat is 40cm deep X45cm wide, the legs are 47cm apart and the maximum height of the back rest is 93cm (minimum 66).
