Up for your consideration is this very old stoneware jug.I believe this jug was produced here in the Catawba Valley are of N.C.This is a 2 gallon jug and measures around 12 1/2 inches high.This jug has an ovoid shape to it as shown in the 3rd photo.There is Blue Rutile and Quartz rock crystals through out the entire body of the jug.There are also very deep finger grooves produced by the Potter while turning this piece.There are no cracks or repairs,but as you can see the spout has been broken off.There is a small amount of the spout remaining where the handle is attached to the body at the top.It has a very nice strap handle and is very,very heavy.This would be a very easy jug to repair.Thanks for looking.*******NO RESERVE*******
