An amazing Ridgway cup, with London shape handle, C.1815, decorated with a bold geometric pattern and lavish gilding. This would have been an expensive set because of the extensive gilding and it is hard to believe that it is nearly 200 years old - it could easily be mistaken for something from the 1930s. It is in excellent condition - there are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs, it rings when tapped, and the decoration and gilding is in fine condition. The cup measures 3 5/16 inches diameter, and is 2 3/16 inches high.
