This is an extremely attractive Stratton compact in its original box. I do not think that this compact has ever been used. The upper lid has a central 'tortoise shell' effect to the background and deep etched central pattern. Externally, this compact is in pristine condition. The outer clasp is firm The mirror is in perfect condition. The hinged rim clasp is firm. It has its original sifter The puff Stratton backing has come away from the puff surface but I think that this is due to age and not use. The puff surface is disintegrating. It still has its internal Stratton Instructions for Use sheet. As with all my compacts within my collection, I have never attempted to clean any of my compacts. A good addition to any compact collection. This item comes from a pet and smoke free home.
