Studies in Biblical Law by David Daube The Legal Classics Library Leather! The Legal Classics Library is a division of Gryphon Edititions. Each of these books in the Legal Classics Library is an exact facsimile of the original work. They are full-leather bound in varying rich colors. Raised, rubbed spines, characteristic of European binding, are hand-tooled in gold. Acid-free paper is used for long life and the pages are smyth-sewn for easy reading. A satin ribbon is attached. With its gilded leaves, gold-stamped board decorations, and elegant marbled endpapers, you receive a volume that is as enduring as the words it contains. The book has obviously been used very sparingly, if at all. The binding is strong and tight, the pages sharp and clean, and the boards are sharp. The gilding on the page edges is clean. There is no bookplate attached or included. Purchased new, these editions sell from $80-$100, if still in print. Also included is the 14-page pamphlet "Notes From The Editors", and a letter from the publisher introducing the issue with the salutation "Dear Charter Member:" I have several other Legal Classics Libary editions up for auction.
