Click on each photo to see it supersize! Description: What a treasure I have for you! I found this stunning piece during a recent buying trip to France. Though it is not marked, so I cannot identify the maker, I am fairly certain that this is a French piece and dates to between 1870 and 1890. The workmanship, colors, and subject matter all point in that direction. It is an incredibly intricate piece of majolica done in the style of 18th century porcelain figurals. A beautifully costumed period gentleman holds a large nosegay of flowers, as he takes a courtly bow. He stands on a base that looks like a lichen covered tree trunk. He has no marks, save for the numbers 1962 and 60 impressed into the base. He stands 8 ½" tall and the base's footprint is approximately 2 ½" in diameter. He is in superb condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, etc. Shipping weight: 1 lb. 14 oz. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING! Please DO NOT bid without reading the Terms specified below.
