You are going to have to trust me on this one...... this vintage organdie & embroidered cloth- sets a FABULOUS table! Once again- the cloth is way too big for my table - and my phtos are not great - but you'll love it! Very " Hollywood Regency " era. From Dorothy C. Thorpe , possibly her own design! Dorothy C. Thorpe (1904-1989) was a very well known artist / potter / designer - who operated her own desgin studio near Los Angeles Californina ( perhaps 1930's - 1960's vintage) She covered glassware, furniture, sculpture, lighting, lucite , modernistic - Eames period, etc. Her original designs are considered highly collectible. This is POSSIBLY a very rare Dorothy C. Thorpe original design . It certainly has her tag/ label on it ! The generously sized SHEER snow white organza / organdy / organdie - measures approximately 120" x 76" The TWELVE linen dinner napkins with matching organza cutwork measures approximately 22" square. The center of the cloth is solid organdy surrounded by elaborate LEAF / PETAL cutwork sides and ends - which is highlighted by a very deep double layer organdie hem! The fancy cutwork is highlighted with soft spring green embroidery! Freshly hand laundered and free of stains - the set is ready for your holiday table or gift giving! However, as seen in several photos - t are some small "tears" in the cutwork
